Some people might think I don't like cops. That is wrong. For a few years, I hoped one particular son of mine would become a cop; 

he has the personality and temperament for it, but he went a different direction. 

Anyway, to balance out all the necessary negative stuff, here are hero cop-stories that I came across on the internet. 

Not end-of-watch stories, but how cops helped people in the communities they serve. 

This list is not in any particular ranking; just a few interesting accounts as I came across them. 

1) San Francisco: “(Officers) Busmire and Telles worked as a team to perform multiple cycles of CPR before medics arrived, helped provide additional treatment, and coordinated the transportation to the hospital. It was discovered Le’Nita had suffered two strokes during the incident."

4) “Officers Act of Kindness Helps Shoplifter Out of Difficult Situation” London, Ken., officer Justin Roby took action when he learned that a would-be shoplifter was a single father who had fallen on hard times and was stealing formula for his 6-month-old baby. Instead of issuing a citation, Roby purchased the baby formula himself and gifted it to the man."

5) Chicago: “According to Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown, officers from the Chicago Police Department’s 6th District noticed a group of children in the neighborhood playing basketball using a milk crate as their hoop. The officers "saw an opportunity to help the kids with their game," so they all pitched in and got the kids a store-bought hoop, along with some basketballs.”

8) "Officers Schlei, Reid, and other officers from District Four risked their own lives and pulled the driver, a 16-year-old Milwaukee male, and another teenage male passenger from the car," the MPD statement said. "A third teenage male passenger from the vehicle was located nearby."
